Varnam Family Wellness Center, established in 2006, serves the primary health care needs of the Shallotte and surrounding communities. It’s the place for comprehensive well visit care! To maintain good health and to detect potentially life threatening consequences, routine checkups are critical.
We also offer extensive healthcare for chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid disorders and much more. We offer an in office lab and do some tests on-site. We send labs to Spectrum Laboratories for analysis if we do not do the testing onsite.
In addition to our family practice offerings, we are proud to offer massage therapy by two of the finest most professional massage therapists around, Ramona Hester, LPN, LMBT (NC # 2954) and Susan Hughes, LMBT (NC #2937). Ramona is also the office manager for the practice and Susan is the director of the massage therapy program at Southeastern Community College. We are located in beautiful Coastal North Carolina in Shallotte. Shallotte is the economic center of Brunswick County with easy access to and from Holden Beach, Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach. We are a short distance from Calabash seafood eateries and only 36 miles from both Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. We are located in the Red Apple Professional Park on Village Road.
We participate with most insurance plans. Some are Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Medicare, Medicaid, NC Healthchoice, Multiplan, and Medcost. If your insurer is not listed, please call 910-754-2273 to inquire if your insurer is accepted.
